Overnight camp last instructions

Please bring along a poncho/raincoat/umbrella for the hike in case if it rains.

Do bring along a small bag to put your water bottle, umbrella/poncho, and any other personal items for the hike.

Overnight Camp 4-5 November 2016

Dear all,

Now that exams is over for you, we will be having an overnight camp from 4-5 November.

We will work on the arrows and proficiency badges on 4 Nov, so please remember to bring your Record Book and Log Book.

Saturday (5/11) will include a hike to the Southern Ridges (Hort Park) and snacks at McDonald's together with the Table Tennis CCA pupils.

If you have not received the information and consent form, please collect from Mrs Pwee's locker (#115) near the level 2 Lost & Found area.

Submit the consent form (by 28/10) in the Cub Scouts pigeon hole just outside the Staff Room (where the black round tables and white chairs are). Late entries will not be entertained.

Cancellation of CCA on 23 Sep 2016

Dear all,

In view of P5 oral exams on Friday, 23 Sep 2016, CCA will have to be cancelled.

Initially the CCA teachers wanted to carry on with the younger cubs, but we discussed and felt that we may disturb the P5 pupils having their exams, so we decided to cancel the CCA in the end.

Due to all the school activities and holidays, we will have only 1 CCA in term 4. Promise that it will be a memorable one!

Keep a look out for any announcements that will be made for you to come collect consent forms from us.

In the meantime, stay healthy and work hard!

Camp Caesar 2016

Dear Cubs,

Please meet at the Hall in you PE attire/House T-shirt/Cub scout T-shirt at 2pm tomorrow.

Do not change into your Scout uniform, but make sure you bring all the 8 items for your uniform (and of course your Log Book and Record book too).

We will break camp at about 12.30 pm on Saturday (depending on how long you will take to clear all your belongings).

We have made contingency plans in case of haze, so no worries!
*Do bring along your masks and mosquito repellent just in case!

Tributes for Mr SR Nathan

The Singapore Scouting fraternity mourns the loss of Singapore’s 6th and longest serving President, Mr SR Nathan.  

President Nathan also served as Chief Scout of the Singapore Scout Association during his Presidency from 1999 to 2011.

We encourage you to write tributes for our former President and Chief Scout via social media in appreciation for what the late President Nathan had done for Scouting in Singapore. 

Do include #presidentnathan or #nathan in your posts.

CCA on 8 July and Campfire on 9 July

Dear all,

As usual, CCA on 8 July at 2pm, 2E classroom.

Those who have not submitted your sold/unsold donation draw tickets and money, please hand in by Friday. If you wish to sell more booklets, please knock on the back door of the staff room near the Lost and Found corner to look for Mrs Pwee on Thursday (7 July).

Come punctually in full uniform and make sure you keep your belongings to the area allocated for your six.
* Only those who are going to the campfire on Saturday may come in School or House T-shirt.

Campfire on 9 July 2016 
(Only for those who have submitted the consent forms on time)

Venue: SJI (Bishan Campus)

             21 Bishan Street 14. 


Time (Arrival): Meet at the Guard house at 6.20pm. 
                           * Please have your dinner before coming. 
                           * Light refreshments will only be provided AFTER the campfire.

    (Dismissal): The gates will only be opened to traffic from 8.45pm. 
                        * Please pick your child up by latest 9pm.

Attire: Full Scout uniform with Pegasus scarf (blue) 
             * Bring along a small bag with your water bottle. 
             NO NEED to bring your Log book and Record book.

Return of Donation Draw Tickets

Dear Cubs,

Please remember to bring your money and unsold donation draw tickets on Friday, 1 July 2016.

Put them in a clearly labelled recycled envelope (with your name and class) or Ziplock bag.
Important to note that half-sold booklets will not be accepted. You need to sell off ALL the tickets in any single booklet, or return any completely unsold booklets. 

You may submit the recycled envelope/Ziplock bag to Mrs Pwee outside the KRC staff room from 7.10am on Friday.

Urgent!!!

Due to some unforseen circumstances (in view of the latest deadline by NCSS for submission of accounts by VWOs), SSA HQ seeks our help to urgently bank in all monies from job week collection. As such, we will collect all job week cards and money collected on Monday, before and after the morning assembly from 7.10 am onwards at the rectangular table outside the staff room.

Please place the job week card and money in a recycled envelope, with your name and class written outside. Please also ensure you have the correct amount of money as stated on your card.

* Do NOT place any cash inside Mrs Pwee's cabinet. Thank you

We will meet for CCA as usual on Friday 2-4 pm. Cubs who are attending STC will come for CCA and be led to STC at 3.30pm.

Job week Card & STC/Area Campfire

Job Week card was given out today. 

The main purpose of the Job Week is to inculcate in Scouts the dignity of labour and the value of honest work as part of the holistic value-based training in Character Building. It is also to prepare members to be better citizens to play constructive roles in society 

During the Job Week, Scouts will perform a job in order to earn the funds and NOT beg for donation. (The funds raised will be used to finance training and programme activities). 

If you have not collected the following, please see Mrs Pwee ASAP. 

1. Job Week Card (If you lose the Job Week card, you will need to make a police report).

2. Pocket calendar (as gift token for the persons you work for).

3. "Jobs I can do card" (think about what you can do before you approach your relatives or teachers to offer your help).

4. Consent form for STC (1-3 April)/Area Campfire (2 April 2016). Submit consent forms to #115 by the end of this week. 

Do not leave your money (STC $50, Area campfire $4) inside the cupboard. Hand in your money to the teachers personally.

Investiture ceremony + overnight camp

Dear all,

Please note we managed to confirm booking for the Future of Us exhibition for Saturday. Please bring along a small bag for the outing.

Do note that we will be working on the arrows on Friday night, so you must bring your log book and record book on Friday.

All Cubs are to report at 2pm (2E classroom) in PE attire/house t-Shirt. We will change into full uniform after dinner.

Please ensure you bring ALL uniform and accessories needed for the investiture ceremony.

Email Mrs Pwee if you are not sure.

We will break camp around 12 noon on Saturday.

First CCA (2016) and CCA orientation for P4 pupils

Dear all,

Welcome back to school!!!

Please note that Pegasus CCA will start on 15 Jan 2016. We will have CCA orientation for P4 pupils on 12 Jan 2016.

We will need 10 cubs to help out during the P4 orientation. Only 10 consent forms will be printed and left in Mrs Pwee's new locker (#115). Current Cub scouts who are able to stay back to help with the orientation are to pick up the consent form between Wed (6 Jan 2016) and Fri (8 Jan 2016).

Submit the signed consent form back into the same locker by Mon, 11 Jan 2016.
